Old Nimble Scion xB
The old nimble Scion xB!
Scion xB
Current gas prices are driving people crazy. The fact that gas is over $4 per gallon is not the crazy factor here, or at least there is a crazier factor involved here. Gas prices basically shoot up one dollar per gallon in a month! That gives people no time to adjust to higher energy costs. Most people were happy to find out the new Scion xB was bigger and heavier and most importantly a more powerful engine. All that was a good thing at $3 gas but as gas shoot past $4 and is predicted to creep past $5 by the end of the year the bigger, heavier, larger engine with more HP Scion xB dose not sound like such a good thing. The question is should Scion put the xB on a diet and bring back a new version of the old nimble 1.5L, 35 MPG highway, 31 MPG city, lightweight xB? Discuss what you thing in this topic

Update1

It seems car companies don’t have it easy these days. First gas prices explode to over $4 per/g and so car makers shift to higher mileage cars then gas prices collapses to $1.50 per/g. But as gas prices drop so did credit and now it’s really hard to get a loan to buy a car. The latest wave to hit car companies is scared consumers, scared they might lose their jobs and not be able to pay the load that is. The way I see it is there is three spotlights on the old nimble Scion xB. Each wave that hits car companies is a new spotlight to shine on the xB. The car really packs it all for the economical consumer these days; roomy, good price point, great mpg. Best of all the car follows the K.I.S.S. principle Keep. It. Simple. Stupid. Which means the car is easy to maintain and easy to customize.
