Toyota decides to rename the 2nd gen Toyota bB "Scion xB" to "Toyota Corolla Rumion". Now for the tease the Rumion has an available four-wheel-drive S Aero Tourer model for $19,750 BUT only available in Japan.
Toyota said it is targeting monthly sales of the Corolla Rumion at 3,500. Prices for the Corolla Rumion range from the equivalent of $14,350 for the base X grade front-wheel-drive model to $19,750 for the four-wheel-drive S Aero Tourer model. In comparison, the 2008 Scion xB starts at $16,270, including a $620 destination charge, for the base model with a 158-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Scion xB is not available with four-wheel drive.
The Corolla Rumion comes with two four-cylinder engine choices: 1.5-liter and 1.8-liter. The 1.8-liter version gets a seven-speed Sports Sequential Shiftmatic transmission; the 1.8-liter S Tourer model has a paddle shift-type shift lever.
In exterior design, the Corolla Rumion retains the squarish lines of the Scion xB but gets a more dramatic face than its U.S. counterpart, with a pronounced lower grille. The 1.8-liter Corolla Rumion S Aero Tourer and the 1.5-liter G Aero Tourer have front and rear spoilers, side mud guards and a rear roof spoiler.
I say Scion enthusiast are upset after how many times we have asked for a all-wheel drive model and Janan gets one but America is left dry. If that got you upset this would get you pissed off. Scion enthusiast have been basically begging for a turboed version for Scion and instead of Scion getting one Toyota breaths new life in the Toyota Matrix with a All-Wheel Drive Turbo Charged model.
